Vietnam's Geological Treasures
Vietnam is an ideal destination to discover some of the ancient civilisations of South East Asia. This country has one of the longest histories in the world and was one of the world’s first people to practise agriculture. Less than half the size of New South Wales, it has a population of nearly 90 million.
Encompassing the culture, you will also see all of the important sights and museums that Vietnam has to offer. The opportunity to see a floating village, go kayaking, take a cycling tour and boat trips…these are just some of the delightful experiences to be enjoyed on this fascinating tour.
Vietnam has a vast choice of destinations for students to explore its extraordinary geological treasures. From the world famous Ha Long Bay to the little known and only recently discovered Hang Son Doong Cave in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. This cave is so big that a New York Skycraper could fit inside, where humidity rises into cool air and forms clouds inside the cave and it even has its own jungle. It is one of 20 new caves discovered in 2010 and was featured in the January 2011 edition of National Geographic.
