Northern Territory Splendour and its Indigenous Culture

Take in the splendour of the Northern Territory.

Educate your students in indigenous culture, geology and by giving them a general overview of the major sights of this astonishing place. A large focus of this tour will be interaction with local owner guides to learn as much as possible about indigenous heritage, culture and how locals live now. Visits will have a local owner guide where possible. Canoe the awe-inspiring Katherine Gorge and if you make it to the fourth gorge the group will see ancient rock art. At Litchfield National Park students will be captivated by the enormous termite mounds, the sandstone towers and some beautiful falls. See the School of the Air and, if you wish, the place of “We of the Never, Never”. Even Darwin itself has so much to offer including a close encounter with a crocodile and the Renewable Energy Refuse Plant. Of course one cannot miss Kakadu National Park with its extraordinary indigenous art sites, the Culture Camp including bush tucker and the Aboriginal Cultural Centre. This educational tour combines fun, a strong understanding of local culture both now and in ages past, the history of the area and astounding scenery and geology. If you wish, you may be able to participate in classes in a local school. This is a wonderful tour to experience such a different part of this large continental island as well as its traditional owners.
